Faith – How to Restore Your Faith

We all know that FAITH is a requirement for life as a Christian. The very FIRST thing you do as a Christian is get born again and you do that by Faith. So, the journey starts with faith and ends with it.

In this video Marie Denise Simmons (MD Simmons Productions) and I get real about some of the things that can shatter our faith. Life’s challenges, unfair circumstances, past hurts, can all cause us to wonder if we can really trust God. When this happens, it’s important that we learn how to turn back to God and let Him restore our faith.

I pray this Bible Study blesses you. If there’s a topic you’d like to see discussed on this blog, don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected] and let me know.

What to do when you’re angry at God

“I f*&%^$n hate you!” I heard myself scream that at the top of my lungs at God one day.

Yes, I really said that. No, I’m not proud of it. Yes, I’m thankful God didn’t strike me with lightning right then and there bc that was a super reckless thing to say to G-O-D. lol

But, let’s be real… There are times in life when we find ourselves being angry with God.

The problem with that is that it makes it hard to trust God. And a relationship (any relationship) without trust is extremely difficult to stay in. It becomes almost impossible to talk to the person about the things that matter the MOST to you.

If you’re finding yourself being angry with God then it’s no doubt hindering you from being able to trust him completely and the truth is you NEED your relationship with God to be as strong and healthy as possible.

So here are some tips on how to address your anger so you can move past it.

God loves you and He wants a close relationship with you. Don’t let anger get in the way. Here goes…

Are you in Alignment?

If you’re feeling frustrated and disappointed in work or in any area of your life then this is for you darling.

Let’s do a quick self check to see whether you’re out of alignment.
QUIZ TIME Questions to help you determine whether you’re in/out of alignment:

Do I feel like I’m just going through the motions at work or in other areas of my life?
Am I operating outside of my “sweet spot” (not using my skills and talents, doing things I genuinely do not enjoy?)
Is it hard for me to find value in the things I’m spending my time on? Is there a disconnect between what I’m spending my time on and my goals?
Am I acting out of character? In other words am I trying to behave like or sound like someone other than my authentic self?
If you answered “yes” to any of those questions then it sounds like you’re out of alignment.

Simply put, you’re not being true to your authentic self – your wants, needs, desires, dreams, etc…

If you’re not in alignment it’s time to reevaluate where you are, why you’re there, and make some adjustments.

Once you begin to make that shift you’ll start operating at a higher level, you’ll experience more peace, and you’ll build more momentum as you work towards your goal.

Here’s the deal:

  1. God made you to thrive, not just survive.
  2. He created you on purpose and with a purpose.
  3. If you’re out of alignment, it’s an indication that it’s time to make some changes NOW.

Now, the 2 problems people usually encounter when it comes to transitioning into their purpose is:

  • They don’t know what their purpose is.
  • They know what their purpose is, but they don’t know how to transition into it.

Regardless of which boat you’re in, I’ve put together a few tips to help you move forward.

If you don’t know what your purpose is:

ig-quoteKnow that your gifts, passions, and talents are not random.

They are an indication of your purpose.

God made you with all the “stuff” you’d need to do what you’re called to do.

If you find yourself struggling with why you’re here, what you should be doing, and what impact you can make on the world, start by looking at the things you’re naturally good at and the things you gravitate towards.

Know that you’re purpose is always connected to people (God created us to serve and that comes in different forms whether it’s business, working in the medical field, or working behind a pulpit.)

Ask yourself, in what ways do I most enjoy helping people?

If you don’t know how to transition into your purpose:

The answer here is pretty straightforward.

  • Seek God. Obvious, right? I know, but it’s still worth pointing out. He made you, He knows your purpose and He’s WAITING eagerly for you to start walking it it. Which bring me to point #2.
  • Follow the breadcrumbs. God’s given you hints throughout your life as to what you’re supposed to be doing. I’ve met so many clients who say “I don’t know what to do or how to do it.” Once we start diving deeper, they begin telling me about things they believe the Holy Spirit’s urged them to do, but they’ve ignored because they were scared or it didn’t make sense to them logically. Ask yourself, “is there anything God’s been telling me to do, that I haven’t been doing?”
  • Start taking action. A life of purpose is a life of faith, and as you know Faith without works is dead. Many times we don’t wanna take action until we can see the whole plan and give it our stamp of approval. Here’s the deal girlfriend, God rarely ever tells us the whole vision at once. Why? ‘Cause we can’t handle it. As you take one step, He’ll begin to reveal the next step. So the most important thing here is to say, “Lord, I trust you. As I take each step, please show me what to do next. “

“God rarely ever tells us the whole vision at once. Why? ‘Cause we can’t handle it”

Now, you have a choice to make Queen… either you will listen to that inner voice that’s telling you to take action (and that action could be as simple as to fast and pray), or you won’t.

But, whatever you decide, remember that your destiny is being shaped by the choices you make today. You owe it to yourself and your creator, to discover and pursue HIS best for you.

I’m rooting for ya and I know you can do this. We can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength.

With so much love and admiration!

Stop Lying: He’s not the one and he’s ruining your life

…So there was this guy.

He was tall, handsome, and funny. I KNEW I wasn’t supposed to deal with him, but loneliness, low-self esteem, and curiosity conspired against me and before I knew it, I was 5 years deep in a horrible relationship.

He wasn’t a bad guy, so it was easier for me to justify staying. Turns out that even though he wasn’t a bad guy, he was bad for me.

When the relationship finallllllllllly ended, there were lots of tears, wasted time, emotional baggage, and a SWAT team involved. I’m not even joking. A SWAT team literally showed up, but that’s a story for another time. And no, he never hit me. He was a lot of things, but he wasn’t that crazy. lol )

I share all the crazy deets about this, along with some advice on how to recognize when you’re with someone who’s not for you, in this episode of Queen TV. But if you’re on the run and can’t watch the whole episode, let me breakdown a few reminders for ya:

  • Just because he’s a good guy, does not mean he’s the right guy for you. Learn how to discern between the 2.
  • When someone shows you who they are believe them. And when you know it’s time for the relationship to end, leave.
  • Do not settle. God can’t bless you with something new if you won’t let go of the old. SoBe willing to wait for God’s best.
  • The right guy can help you accomplish your purpose, the wrong guy can throw everything off track.

Until you get to know yourself, love yourself, and value yourself you run the risk of trying to make the wrong man fit into your life and that will only slow you down.

So basically, know when to chuck the deuces.✌️ #boybye #sorry #iaintsorry
